Privacy Policy

The short version: Most of our apps keep everything on your device and never contact a server. Where an app does send something — to your own iCloud account, or to us — its section below says exactly what and why. We never show ads, use third-party trackers, or sell data.

Who we are

Eager is the name Furvur Inc publishes its apps under, for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Furvur Inc ("we", "us") is responsible for this policy and for the data described in it. It covers every app listed in the App by app section below.

What we never do

  • AdsWe never show ads, and no app contains an advertising network.
  • TrackingWe never use third-party analytics or tracking services, and never track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
  • Selling dataWe never sell or rent your data, or share it with data brokers.
  • AccountsWe never require an account to use a education app.

Where your data lives

On your deviceBy default, what you create in our apps is stored on your device, and deleting an app deletes it.
In your iCloudSome apps can sync through your own iCloud account; that data is held by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy, and we cannot read it.
On our serversOnly TopSpeller, for pronunciation recordings and anonymous usage counts, as its section describes. Nothing else reaches us unless you email us.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details, name or address — only confirmation that a purchase is valid.

For parents

Children

Our education apps are made for children and need no account. A name entered for a child’s profile stays on the device and is never sent to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only education app that contacts our servers is TopSpeller, and what it sends carries no name, identifier or anything your child types — see its section. In the apps for younger children, purchases sit behind a parental gate.

TopSpeller

Kept on your device
  • Practice results, streaks, word lists and settings.
  • An optional child's name, used only to print a PDF progress report. It is not saved.
Leaves your device
  • Word lists, progress and settings sync between your devices through your own iCloud account, which Apple operates. We cannot read it.
  • Recorded pronunciations are downloaded from our own server. A request names only the catalogue word being played; nothing your child types is sent. Offline, the app uses the voice built into iOS instead.
  • Anonymous usage events — for example "practice started" or "upgrade screen viewed" — are sent to our own self-hosted analytics server (Plausible, at analytics.furvur.com). They carry no device identifier, no name and no text typed in the app. The server sees your IP address to count visits but does not store it; it is hashed with a salt that rotates.
Permissions
  • Microphone and speech recognition, only in the optional Voice Mode, to hear your child spell out loud. Recognition runs on the device where the device supports it. Audio is not recorded or sent to us.
Purchases
Monthly and yearly subscriptions (the yearly plan may include a free trial) and a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases, restoring purchases, links out of the app, rating and sharing all sit behind a parental gate.

Grade 3 Prep

Kept on your device
  • Child profiles, each with a first name and an avatar. The name appears on the child's score report.
  • Practice results and settings.
Leaves your device

Nothing. Grade 3 Prep never contacts a server.

Purchases
Monthly and annual subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase, all behind a parental gate.

Little French

Kept on your device
  • Player profiles, each with a name and an avatar, and each profile’s progress.

Words are spoken with the voice built into iOS, on the device.

SpellQuest

Kept on your device
  • The hero name your child chooses (it defaults to "Hero") and their progress.

One-time purchases for the full game and for extra worlds, all behind a parental gate.

Grade 9 Math Mastery

Kept on your device
  • Practice history, progress and settings.
Leaves your device
  • Nothing, unless you export a progress report through the share sheet yourself.
Permissions
  • Face ID, optionally, to lock Parent Mode. Face ID is handled entirely by iOS; the app only learns whether it succeeded.
Purchases
Monthly and annual subscriptions and a one-time exam-year pass.

PlanPop

Kept on your device
  • Your tasks, lists and productivity stats. Tasks can appear in Spotlight search, widgets and Live Activities, all on the device.
Leaves your device
  • Lists you choose to share are stored in iCloud (Apple’s CloudKit), in your account and the accounts of the people you share them with, so they can see and edit them. We cannot read them.
Permissions
  • Notifications, for task reminders. Reminders are scheduled on the device.
Purchases
A one-time lifetime purchase.

pxCut

Kept on your device
  • Your projects: the original screenshot, your edits and a thumbnail.
  • If you choose to give it, the email address from the optional "pro tips" prompt. It is stored on the device and is not sent anywhere.
Leaves your device

Nothing. pxCut never contacts a server.

Permissions
  • Adding photos to your library, to save edited screenshots. Screenshots are chosen with Apple’s photo picker, which gives the app only the images you pick; the app never reads the rest of your library.
Purchases
A one-time Pro purchase.

SnapSort

Kept on your device
  • An index of your screenshots, including text and barcodes recognised in them. Recognition runs on the device, and indexed text can appear in Spotlight search.
Leaves your device
  • Nothing by default. If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, the index syncs through your own iCloud account.
Permissions
  • Reading your photo library, to find your screenshots.
  • Adding photos to your library, to save images.
Purchases
Monthly and yearly subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase.

LabelScan

Kept on your device
  • Your last 50 scans: the ingredient text read from the label and its score.
  • Label reading and analysis run on the device, using Apple’s text recognition and built-in models.
Leaves your device

Nothing. LabelScan never contacts a server.

Permissions
  • Camera, to scan ingredient lists. Camera frames are processed on the device and not stored.
Purchases
None. LabelScan has no in-app purchases.

Captionful (Mac)

Kept on your device
  • Your videos, transcripts and caption styles. Transcription runs on your Mac with the Whisper speech model; your videos and audio are never uploaded.
Leaves your device
  • The first time you transcribe, the Whisper model is downloaded from Hugging Face. The download contains none of your data.
Permissions
  • Access to the files and folders you choose to open or export to.
Purchases
A one-time Captionful Pro purchase, which removes the watermark and unlocks video export.

Your choices

  1. 1Delete an app’s data at any time by deleting the app.
  2. 2Turn off iCloud for an app in your device’s Settings.
  3. 3Email us to have a conversation deleted. Otherwise we keep it only as long as we need it.

We hold no personal data about you from the apps: TopSpeller’s anonymous usage counts can’t be tied to you.

Changes to this policy

When an app’s behaviour changes, we update its section here and the date at the top.
